BillBigD comments on Por fin! A real ceviche in Colombia! billyb- If it follows the one in Lima, it will be equally as great. It is a more causal place only open for lunch but with great seafood and very good prices. And interesting bit of info was it was shut down for a time because the owners had refuse to allow blacks into the place repeatly. The star chef claimed he knew nothing about it and blamed it on the soccer player partner. The food and vibe are awesome. Had lunch sitting next to president Alejandro Toledo a few time. Very nice guy

BillBigD comments on Businesses Scramble To Offset Rising Cost Of Transportation - WSJ Miamimike, Do a quick little research on the new millionaries in North Dakota from the Bakken Shale that is barely producing any oil yet. Or look at the samething that is happening in the Haynesville Shale in LA/TX Tinto- You are right there is a HUGE backlog on Deepsea Rigs, and yes there is a big difference in the Amount of oil in these fields compared to land fields.

BillBigD comments on Notre Dame Football in Colombia I don't see ND being much better this year with the young QB and weak OL. ND does get the rating on TV as many fans like them. I watch everygame and attend the Mighigan every year but I am rooting against them.

BillBigD comments on Totally Furnished 2 Bedroom Apartment for Rent in Poblado, Medellin, From $22 USD/Night I for one like the new options being posted. 3 months ago everyone said you couldn't get a place in Medellin for under $50 per day. That was from people that lived there. So bring them on . But maybe every day is a little to much. LOL

But when the goverment started buying $ and no threat of interest rate hikes this was a EASY trade. The Chilean peso rose 12% when the goverment started doing this in April.

BillBigD comments on Colombia's Credit Rating Raised to Ba1 by Moody's Rocinante, You did see the another news yesterday that msci might drop Colombia's rating? Causing the 3.3% drop. MSCI Inc., whose equity gauges are used by managers overseeing a combined $3 trillion, will consider dropping Colombia from its emerging market classification ``unless significant improvements in the relevant capital flow restrictions are observed,'' MSCI said in a statement yesterday. ``Speculative investors are trying to anticipate that foreigners will exit'' if Colombia becomes a so-called frontier market, Marcela Giraldo, head of equities research at Bogota- based brokerage Corredores Asociados, said by phone today. So-called frontier markets typically have less-developed economies and financial markets than emerging markets, and have more restrictions on foreign stock ownership. Investors buying Colombian stocks and bonds with foreign capital must deposit 40 percent of the value of their purchase in cash with the central bank for six months, according to rules Finance Minister Oscar Ivan Zuluaga implemented in May.

BillBigD comments on Colombian news headlines | Colombia tops UNHCR list, Army builds base on holy ground, "Don Berna wants plea bargain", truckers and Uribe agree Maybe you should give him a some credit for avoiding what could have been a major problem. You think you could get the rail system going again with a 128million investment. Don't think so.
