bella comments on Born in the U.S.A. 1/2 colombian I am half colombian, but it was born in miami,so i am also american, however i am also 1/4 german. I dont look nething lik tha typical "latina" stereotype. I have blue eyes, blonde hair and im realli pasty, i could not possibly look more american if i wanted to, and i totally understand what you are talking about. People look and me and say im white. no one believes me when i say im colombian and that i speak fluent spanish, i end up having to prove it to them! Ever since i was little people have labled me as a white girl and a "gringa" and i guess i am sort of, but at the same time i am very much colombian. I go to Bogota every summer for lik 5 or 6 weeks ever since i was little, i speak spanish fluently and with no ugly american accent, actually i talk with the Bogota accent, i absolutely love colombia, i listen to the music, LOVE the food...my personality is very much latina and i absolutely HATE it when people call me "white" i am NOT white im 1/2 colombian, people dont seem to understand that colombians (and hispanic ppl in general) come in ALL different colors and shapes.

bella comments on Is it possible to go to school in Colombia but not have to repeat that year when you get back to tha States? my main concern is that i will not be able to take the classes in colombia that i would have taken had i stayed in tha states. I do not want to have to come back the following year and not be able to be in the classes i want because i have not taken the classes that are the prequisites. Currently i am taking alot of honors and AP (advanced placement-college level class) classes, and i dont think i can take AP classes in colombia. This concerns me because i want to earn as many college credits as possible before graduating highschool. Additionally i do not want to have to take a night class, and i dont even think my school..or any highschool where i live offers them. If neccesary i can take a class during lunch tho. Is there any way you can get them to accept all the credits you earned in colombia? Or are there any schools whose classes credits will ALL be accepted here in tha states at a public school?? And out of curiosity which school did you go to? thnx
