bamapits3 comments on 24 to go........ciao Iraq Hmmmmm well I dont really have any feeling on superstition, i believe it is suppose to be, it is suppose to be, it is a personal choice by both if they want to respect each other and be faithful, i am ready to take that route :-) She isnt that familiar with bogota since she has only been there since july, so hopefully if i take her there she doesnt bring it up and say, you know what the supeerstition is, i would get a chuckle out of that, lol, it is what it is, just want a romantic dinner she will never forget, thanks for everyones support on this, this day is going to mean a lot to me.....

bamapits3 comments on 24 to go........ciao Iraq I am in Al Asad, its pretty cool here right now, the temp has dropped from 130 to a high of 108 during the day. My ol lady flies avianca so I have to go to bogota this time, I just dont want to get bored when she is working during the day, My partner is flying in from Kuwait, but he will be leavin after about 8-9 days for some business in England. I hope it is good, like i said, at night, i will have my lady with me, so its not that big of a thing, but during the day i wouldnt like to sit around...thanks for all the input

bamapits3 comments on Contractor that Cheated Ex-Colombian Soldiers in Iraq has Security License Revoked Dont think its only blackwater with colombians.......US citizens too, these contracting companies make you take up on there insurance regardless if you have insurance with your privat company or not and the insurance is shit........When i came over in 2004 i was suppose to make 6k a month, but after i got my first check it was like 4800, i cant complain because of my age, but all truth isnt put out when recruiting personnel to come out to Iraq and Afghanistan.....

Some people like to chill when they take a vacatuin to bogota and watching a football game while drinking after being in Iraq and Afghanistan for 3 years now......Yes the women are beautiful, but if that is why you go to colombia for a bunch of girls younger then you by 10-20 years, you are definatley missing out on a lot, I have never been to bogota, but I know the country sides of medellin and the people are really nice. You should try it.

I have met many women in colombia and I can only say there has been 1 or 2 that past the beauty and so forth that could be considered in anything past a good time of going out and having dinner. Its more or less a conflict of interest when they start thinkin about other things besides just being happy to be around you. Good luck bro and keep us updated. I will be in Bogota in october and probably will be the only 21 year old from united states you will see sitting at that blackjack table.....

bamapits3 comments on what zona is Bogota airport (south bogota) I need a 2 bedroom apartment for 14 days and have about 900-1200 US to spend, can I get something for 2 weeks in salitre plaza for that price, the whole thing is monday-friday she works and has to be to work in the morning early, she says she wants like a 10 min drive more or less, nothing crazy every morning...... would that be my best bet?

I have traveled for 3 years, dubai, france, italy, kuwait, turkey, mexico, colombia and have decided at 21 regardless about how bad i would like to live in colombia i need to wait until I get a little older and have some good opportunity......

If it is about status then they have plenty of clubs where you have to be invited, but because you like the music and enviornment then you will be good almost anywhere, that is almost, i guess not bogota, but i will see in Oct.....

I will have to be out of the states from July- Nov for tax purposes and am wondering if we get married through the courts in june if she can leave after we are married for vacation back to her country?

Keep an eye out for my posts, I might be writting in about 2 years saying she left me for another man, or when she gets her green card say she is bringing him over here and has left me..... :-) Just found out since she works for avianca as of a week ago, I got 5 free tickets to use in my name since I am her Fiance/ boyfriend.......... Robert, holla at me and maybe we can meet up one day and have a beer..... I will be in bogota around Oct 18 for about 2 weeks and then hopefully around Feb to see the fiance again, hopefully she is in Cali or Cartegna with avianca, I dont want to be in bogota, to cold.......

Thanks bro, That was a big help..........Well I really enjoyed my self actually, the young lady I have been seeing really took care of me when I was down there, we are both 21 years old so it really makes me feel comfortable, I really enjoy being with her........ everyone tells me that I am young and shouldnt worry about marriage and what not, but if they look at it like I do, I am happy, I cant say ok, she doesnt want me for citizenship or to make it to the states and disapear on me......... But i know by personal time with her that it is different.......Its not like we cant communicate, she speaks better english then most people on this website and is educated........I dont care, I am happy and that is all that is important, does your colombian wife live with you in the states? How does she like it, this will be a big change, I mean she isnt from a poor part of medellin or anything Laurles use to be really nice and still is peaceful place, but how did your wife take the change........was it a hard transition...... This is the last time I will be on the computer until I get to medellin, I will check my e-mail, still havent recieved a PM from him with his number or anything so we can meet up, its easy to talk behind this screen that is what is funny Pod & Esanch, But even if he meets me, he wont come out and say who he is, wont look to pretty when he is with his lil girlfriend and someone her age puts the hands on him and she leaves him after that..... I will not say anything Negative, but ladies, please let these guys keep doing what they are doing, any respectable woman will look at an american and a colombiano the same way, to many of US and I say us because I am a gringo, think that because we are american all of a sudden the girls will want us, haha, I guess being younger I look at it different, I wouldnt want to know deep down inside that being an american was the reason she wanted to be with me, now if she heard that american guys were sweet or something to that sort and that is what attracted her that would be different, but see's opportunity isnt a high priority on my list to find love :-) I laugh when I see it because it happens all over the place, when she is with her mother and you are her mothers age and your looking at her little daughter like she is a peice of meet isnt going to get you to the end of the rainbow, I wish more people who travel to colombia would start respecting the country, if you find a nice woman and go out and fall in love, fine, but guys please try and be normal when you are there, you are not only making you and me look bad, you are making everyone who travles to the country look bade whether from Europe, Asia, or North America. I have been in the middle east for 3 years now Afghanistan and Iraq (MEDELLINFOCKER DONT SAY SHIT) and the pay for the soldiers talking with them has increased. I think it is sad that there is such a big gap, but it has been closing.......The contractors like my self are being paid a great amount of money, but what we can paid personally is just 75% of what the governments is paying the company who contracts us, there are people who would die for there country and then there are people who would die for money, then you have people who would die for both.....Cheers!
