asdfn comments on Dollar still hovering around 2000, consider it a blessing! Massive short squeeze could push the dollar way up in its final hurrah before going the way of the roman aureus, argentinean austral, etc etc etc Or it could just be totally f#cked

asdfn comments on The "T" Shirt project is Alive I think you were being unreasonably sensitive. I think that's a cool shirt idea

asdfn comments on Hardest to understand??? CosteƱos vs. Cubans a girl on my study abroad program in buenos aires was dominican, and by the end of the trip the argentineans understood this gringo way better than that motormouth lol

asdfn comments on guys just landed in medellin I wonder how many of you guys I bumped into at the barking spider last week. I have to agree, great burger, 3 cordilleras on tap, owner was nice and my somewhat grilla friend didnt drain me too bad when the check came. Its a good place to spend some of your mandatory 24 hours in poblado being a gringo, after which I agree - go get some chicharron out in the sticks!!
asdfn comments on I just had the best time in medellin staying as far away from poblado, mangos, lleras, and oviedo as possible, despite crashing at tiger paw a few days. one of the girls i met was from santo domingo and was such a pleasure to hang out with compared to some of the grilla types i bumped into from my last typical newbie gringo trip.

asdfn comments on haha i think names like yeni yesica leidy yenifer are horrendous but there are so many of them. add on a gringo last name and ugh.
asdfn comments on Dollar to loose another 10% of its value by years end! i have a suspicion that the next down move in equitiies will not be accompanied by another flight to the dollar. and the next down move may be flat in nominal terms, but only down in terms of dollar value. however, never trust the analysts.
asdfn comments on Dollar to loose another 10% of its value by years end! sounds like the dollar is in for a 20 percent move up. never believe the analysts.

asdfn comments on A Man Was Killed In Cali By Transvestites wow, i stayed 2 blocks fro that in cali a week ago. one guy bought perico from thm, another got pickpocketed when one grabbed his crotch. i just wonder how they make any money. all the gay guys i know say straight guys are the only ones into crossdressers, and none of the straight guys I know would ever admit to paying for a man dressed as a woman.

asdfn comments on may in colombia I am very greatful for the opportunity to lose my job and have the entire summer till I go back to school lol. I just figured I'd not be likely to have this kind of flexibility again anytime soon. plus just got out of a relationship, and found a one day sale on jetblue with $49 fares. the stars had pretty much aligned.

asdfn comments on Colombia news - Swine flu yea alcohol rips most microorganisms and viruses apart. hiv can't even handle exposure to oxygen
asdfn comments on Colombia news - Swine flu my mother tels me now is not the time to be in colombia because of the swine flu. I then informed her I am going further away from mexico and out of the way of the primary migration pattern of mexicans lol. either way, I understand her concerns about traveling. do they sell purell in colombia? its a johnson and johnson product.

asdfn comments on Advance purchase for bus tickets 30 seconds sounds perfect lol. I get off the plane 8ish in BOG. Just checked the bolivariano web site, I think Ill grab watever the next bus is and sleep on it.

asdfn comments on may in colombia Kind of leaving it open, probably going to drop by some friends in bogota at the end, might swing by medellin but im leaving it open.
asdfn comments on Heading under 2300 :0( I am going for most of may. I've got good exchange rate luck in general, so I have my fingers crossed. if we get another leg down in equities the dollar could get some steam, and I don't think that's a long shot in our time frame.

asdfn comments on Where to live as a UM student in Miami I loved buenos aires, the bus and subte system was everywhere you wanted to be and everyone used it. I feel like in some places busses are like mobile homes for the homeless.

asdfn comments on 50 most Popular Places to move in USA--a few Surprises daytona is a wasteland. I went to high school there for 2 years at father lopez and dread any errand that brings me back there. new symrna much better, but in general volusia county should be napalmed and start over. I'm actually staying there right now and spend as much time as possible crashing on couches in orlando.
asdfn comments on Where to live as a UM student in Miami I'm sorry, I though I had posted it in off topic. my bad I probably did it from my phone or something.
asdfn comments on Where to live as a UM student in Miami do "normal" people use mass transit in miami? I took a bus to south beach one night and I met a guy with one arm and a black lesbian from nyc, and everyone else was unapproachable and even weirder. I'm in orlando and I don't know anyone who has been on a lynx bus.
asdfn comments on Where to live as a UM student in Miami will there be any stigma if I say "oh I live at street x and 7th"
asdfn comments on Where to live as a UM student in Miami I have been thinking about something a little more adventurous like little havana. ill have to cruise this design district when I'm in town later this week. my spanish is strong to quite strong for a white kid. I'd prefer something a little more "real" anyways, and not just to save cash. being around a high concentration of latin girls is a definite plus. during my undergrad I tagged along with the jet set probably a little more than I should have and I'm not looking to repeat that scenario to a significant degree. thanks for the replies guys
