apeters comments on Barranquilla apartment for rent 350,000 COP per month- includes utilities - Video below

I meant how much the apartments are...I can probably afford up to 800000 if need be but I really would prefer 500000-600000 if at all possible. Im looking for rooms too...really anything at this point, I only have 2 more months

no problem Brian, it looks really nice :) We are looking for a 1 bedroom apartment in a nice area (north barranquilla), maybe about twice the size of that one...preferably with a good size living room and/or bedroom. Basic amenities are perfect...such as a kitchen sink, cupboards, washboard, closet space to hang clothes (If available), shower, etc. We would also like either a fan or, if at all possible, air conditioning! We can pay up to about 500.000-600.000 a month, but of course the less $ the better! Thanks a lot Brian, I appreciate any help or contacts you can give us!

apeters comments on Engagement ring

emeralds are beautiful...and yes they do work as engagement rings. Thats what i ended up getting, a nice emerald with 2 diamonds on the side

apeters comments on Engagement ring

it may be the tradition, but if u have a girl that doesnt really care for diamonds, like mine, its not that expensive! ;) Good luck finding a girl like that tho...its like finding a needle in a haystack.

do you have any bigger apartments? My girl and I are looking for a place in Barranquilla and have not had much luck so far...or do you know of anyone who has a place for rent? Thanks!!!!!!

apeters comments on Engagement ring

put it in my backpack in a box...there were no questions asked. You could also put it on your hand..thats a good one, if it fits I mean. Dont do the paperwork...its all useless, just carry it on.

apeters comments on

I wont be coming to Medellin, but if I am the winner, Id like them shipped to Barranquilla. If you cant do that, Ill have Elmos burro come and pick it up for me :) Yesssssssssss!!!! Victory is mine!

apeters comments on

that post was from November 1st :) Id like 2 bottles of aguardiente instead of the 10 USD, thanks in advance.

"What makes you think you qualify as a clique member, CT? ;-) You'd have to be far nastier, LOTS more obnoxious, and forget most of your own principles in order to qualify..." -Darloup I Win!!!!

apeters comments on La pobreza es cruel ...

apeters comments on Just received my cedula and need to open a bank account. Can anyone recommend a bank?

why not colmena/banco caja social? Whats wrong with them????

apeters comments on Colombian police kill rebel leader

thats about all that Uribe has been good at. Colombia looks to be improving on the surface, but inside its a different story. What about the help for the desplazados? Or how about an effort to improve on human rights? They have been pretty much nonexistent. He has been great against the FARC, which is a big job in itself...but has failed on other important aspects of Colombian society.

apeters comments on Bogota is on fire - We try to burn

great work, my girl painted some in bogota too...ill show you pics sometime. Keep up the good work, we need more graffiti that is actual art, not just stupid initials. Dont let the haters get to you

apeters comments on DOES MY COLOMBIAN GIRLFRIEND NEED VISA FOR ECUADOR?

she does not need a visa. No visa is required from colombians for any South American country....but if they are trying to travel outside a South American country, then they do need a visa. Pretty bullshit I know....but your girl is safe from this for this trip at least. I also know from first hand experience as I went to Peru with my girl and no visa was required.

apeters comments on Requirements for the civil marriage of a Colombianita with a foreign man (or vice versa, of course)

yes...I dont understand that at all. A catholic wedding vs getting married in a notary where you only have to provide a minimal number of documents??? Id go for the notary style all the way...Ive heard catholic marriages are a very very complicated process.

apeters comments on Screw the rules - GO PHILLIES!!! 2ND STRAIGHT WORLD SERIES!

its going to be a great world series...i am def. goin for the phillies because I cant stand the yankees AND they beat the dodgers. Go Phils!

apeters comments on getting ready to book my ticket

i travelled american to bogota...be prepared to have a delay on every connection, the free bags are nice though. As for round trip vs one way, do the round trip, it will save you a lot of hassle and/or questions.

apeters comments on Arise Lord Moderfoquer of Curramaba

he would have to cross those vicious arroyos to get there...

apeters comments on Go Phillies!!!

apeters comments on Go Phillies!!!

Buck the Fodgers. And you can add the young Padres reliever Ernesto Frieri to the list of colombian born major league players. That guy is looking like hes somethin special!

apeters comments on ABC COLOMBIA

that one hit pretty hard....the truth hurts sometimes, but its better to see the truth than live life with blinders on.

apeters comments on Security in Colombia

yes u can get more third world than colombia....zimbabwe is just one good example! "Zimbabweans will be allowed to conduct business in other currencies, alongside the Zimbabwe dollar, in an effort to stem the country's runaway inflation. The announcement was made by acting Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa. BBC southern Africa correspondent Peter Biles says the Zimbabwean dollar has become a laughing stock. A Z$100 trillion note was recently introduced. Until now only licensed businesses could accept foreign currencies, although it was common practice. " A 100 trillion note hahahaa, you would have to use that to cross an arroyo in killa! When you basically abandon your own currency, you know that you are a third world country at best...id say fourth world if there was such a classification!

apeters comments on Security in Colombia

I doubt he lives in Congo...and yes he is right. My girl says it can be dangerous, and it is a violent country really, but it is her home and she will always have pride in her country. I gotta watch my back when I move down there in January, I know that for a fact. I know you are telling us how it is...it is the reality of it even if it has gotten better, but hey you know what they say? No risk, no reward.

true, the most silent of them all are the most deadly. There are many that are all bark and no bite, those I dont worry about
