"El trato" based on what story?

Hi everybody,

yesterday i saw the colombian miovie "El Trato", it's based on a true story of british filmmakers making an documentary about colombian drug trafficiing to the UK in 1998. The documentary used paid actors and it got to be a scandal in Britaini in 1998.

I now researched the Internet about these incidents but couldn't find anything.

Does somebody have a link to a british site, where i can attain more information?
