Why be a cry baby on posts

Is it just me or can the most foolish of posters make simpleton comments about the most simple of posts and then expect A.No criticism at all or B. A thread be locked or removed the moment they are criticized?t

Not trying to call out names and we are all a bit tonto at times, but the same posters with similar themes come on here again and again and when someone starts to show just how bad their posts are ....the post is locked. My assumption is that the original poster complains and cries and gets his post locked, or maybe the mods are just that pro-active...I dunno.
