This is a great site for you conspiracy theorists, government slaves, political activists, and law enforcement types. The person who wrote this forecasted 9/11, Karl Rove's retirement, Castro's resignation, and a few other things. I have been reading it since 1998, and I am surprised that none of you have talked about it before. It is relevant to PBH because it is all about the Drug Enforcement Administration, the US Government, and how they work with and against Colombia and other countries. ...
I could not care less about being scolded for pejoratively pointing out worthless posters and posts. However, I now cannot refer to them in a negative manner without having my account deleted (yes I have two strikes against me!). Thus, I will simply point out that Lostgringo posted some worthless real estate link in so many dead threads that he completely changed the first page of active posts. I ask you great and learned people of PBH - is it worse to call an *** an ***, or let the *** run w ...
Yes the ending bothers you. However, this movie blends reality and an esoteric meaning of life so seamlessly that you will not realize what you have seen, until you see it for the second (or third or fourth or etc.) time. Hopefully by the last time you watch it you will understand. This movie speaks to you old and young Colombians, Mexicans, Dominicans, and US law enforcement types in a prima facie manner. However, the story is much deeper. I recommend it (whatever that is worth) for everyo ...
1. It might suck because there are too many gringos and europeans there. 2. It must suck on Monday since you have been here talking to yourselves all night. 3. It really sucks because the Medellin Irish men stay home talking the entire night - here on PBH - on St. Patrick's Day. 4. It is confirmed that it sucks because some poor gringo from Cartagena got stuck there on St. Patrick's Day, talking to himself and the other Medellin shut-ins on PBH, while the rest of the world was out c ...
Your boy has uttered some of his last words: "The imperial plan is to overthrow this government and knock down the Bolivarian Revolution," he said, referring to his socialist movement. "They're afraid of the impact of this revolution in the rest of the countries ... of Latin America. That permanent aggression is because of that." A Bolivarian Revolution exists? Why is this fool wasting his time? He would be better served preaching to religious morons. I do not understand SeƱor Terdius. ...
I love Cartagena. I love the walled city, I love Bocagrande, Manga, hell I even love Crespo and the part south of Manga. I have been fortunate enough to eat at several restaurants here (mostly in the old city), so I thought I would share some information and my opinion of some of them. As I look at the list I see I missed a few like Bongo del Sinu, Donde Olano (both very good) and some others, but I do not feel like adding any more. Another PBHer recommended one place, La Vitrola, which I ha ...
I have been told that Direct TV in Colombia does not currently carry HDTV channels. Is this true? If so, is there a cable company in Cartagena that provides HDTV?
Is bringing a laptop to Cartagena worth the trouble, or should I just stick to internet cafes? Any help is greatly appreciated...
I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about them. It may be some sort of architectural competition or just some random "drifting" as the description hints. I wrote the YouTube poster and am awaitng a response. In the meantime if you have any info please reply and enjoy the videos - good music and much video capturing Cartagena's architecture, places, and people... the link follows (I hope) http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=lgmanel&p=r ...
censorship experts? I hope we see the problems happening in Venezuela? No??? (God I hope this qualifies as a Colombian topic for the expert censors/censorship experts - there is a difference you know, God - the first lead themselves, the latter follow the leader). Venezuela (Chavez the Moron) shut down a TV station because it was used to broadcast anti-state propaganda. Wow - hmmm - Hitler? The idea here, Tinto, Desi, and the serfs that have jumped on the bandwagon, is that this site is mos ...
