Aaron21 comments on Three americans thanked the colombian military Lcacique, you shouldn't contradict your own edicts - especially in the same post. I did not say contractors were angelic. I said politicians are prone to embellishment, nonsense and outright lies and I drew a conclusion from that. Please be accurate and consistent.

Aaron21 comments on Tribute to Rubito...... Lot of work my friend... ; ) The moderators seem to have taken a strong stance in favor of France and Ingrid and they are not listening to reason, let alone trying to believe the truth. If it is the case that he was removed for taking an equally strong but opposite stance then someone needs to re-evaluate their moderating thought process.

Aaron21 comments on Tribute to Rubito...... Loid, I am neither trying to nor wanting to start an argument here so please pay more attention to my question than my statement. My statement is that GIB quit and apparently Rubi was removed. My question is (since I missed it) what happened? If anyone knows...

Aaron21 comments on Three americans thanked the colombian military Kat...The fact that Ingrid made the statement does not make it true..lol... that is the difference.. she is a politician (prone to embellishment, nonsense, and outright lies) and those Americans were contractors fighting a quasi-war... Most rational people know on which side to err..

Aaron21 comments on INGRID ARRIVES TO PARIS AND SAYS " I owe everything to france" Kat1.. I am going to put this very simply - so everyone here can understand. France did absolutely nothing for Betancourt. They would have hurt her position if the Colombian government would have let them. They left with their collective tails between their legs when they realized they are irrelevant in Colombia and irrelevant in the world. France did nothing and never will... enough said.
|
|
Aaron21 comments on INGRID ARRIVES TO PARIS AND SAYS " I owe everything to france" Wow this subject produced some lunacy. France had absolutely nothing to do with Betancourt's rescue. The French government has never taken a chance on anything, and never will. France did revive some public attention to her plight, but that was irrelevant to the situation. She went back to France because she has better political standing. She said nothing about the US because the US is not popular in France. For better or worse, she is a politician and is capitalizing politically. If you sympathize with that, well..lol.. nevermind..

Aaron21 comments on So I am kinda of dissapointed of Queens and Roosevelt Avenue. Flushing Park Queens easily has the best Independence Day celebration ... Elizabeth, New Jersey has a good one too.... Elizabeth's downtown area is mainly Colombiano tambien ... Pero Northern Blvd entre the Wendy's near 72nd and up to almost 94th is the best area... You were given bad info

Aaron21 comments on An interesting item was posted recently on one of my favorite websites - DEA Watch... Seems like the Insider is forecasting another attack - there is a lot more to it like US government involvement, political intrigue and a lot of other bells and whistles... interesting stuff...

Aaron21 comments on who comes in this weeks to colombia from the U.S. ? 12 minutes and Ray has not answered ... interesting... maybe he is playing his flute - a veritable flautist!

Aaron21 comments on WEll... there it is!!! What is difficult to understand? Colombiche thinks Webmanco broke into her account on Colombianblog (or possibly her private e-mail). Colombiche thinks Webmanco then took her private communications and sent them to others on Colombianblog. Colombiche believes she figured out via PBH that Webmanco was actually the one who did it because of something he said on PBH. Colombiche asked Peter to do something about it. Peter said he was looking into the claim. Colombiche felt that Peter was not moving fast enough or was not doing anything. Colombiche left PBH. That is strictly from memory when I read this thing a week ago. If I am wrong, please correct me. In the mean time, I ask again - what is so difficult to understand?

Aaron21 comments on Cali to Tulua HELP last minute. Well, it is a little over an hour from the airport and about about an hour-and-a-half from Cali... I have never taken a taxi to Tulua, but I imagine it is not cheap - probably 100 mil or more - it is 40 mil to the airport. A bigger concern for me would be traveling that road in a taxi - it is not the safest...

Aaron21 comments on Avianca Minus Hmmm... if it is an e-ticket you generally pick it up at the airport when you check in ... is this some other type of e-ticket?

Aaron21 comments on If I am reading it correctly, this: " ... you say there is no answers to my Q and that creates problems, in truth there is no such thing as an answer to any Q because whatever you know there is always higher and higher answers..the moment you think you know some thing is the time you block yourself to knowing anything more...to know that you know very little allows you to constantly learn more" ?

Aaron21 comments on Paranoia is not an excuse Interesting post, Web, I was thinking about this the other day. I have not seen a single cat in Cartagena in the five months I have lived here - and they are not available at the pet store... strange...?

Aaron21 comments on Since obviously no moderators are here .... Jack, one thing - English reading comprehension is a good thing. The post is a sarcastic jab at the mods. Notice the alliteration and exclamation points? These are oft used literary tools to denote frivolity. Were they too pointed? Like I said, I could not care less. Lostgringo, you did not realize they were dead? Hahaha - good one! The only real question/statement is in the last sentence, and that is obviously tongue-in-cheek ... talk about taking things too seriously...

Aaron21 comments on Desi, you do not believe that SiV was insulting Loid when he said "Please educate yourself before commenting" ? I would much rather be called a name than be labeled as uneducated - especially when it is pretty clear that Loid is educated about this topic. I will have to remember that it is okay to tell people they are uneducated whether I back it up or not on PBH!

Lolol... yeah I was exaggerating ... However, it is 45 miles from Brentwood to the Stadium. If there is traffic it will take a minimum of 2 hours each way - without traffic more than an hour and that is driving fast. Swinn, it takes 15 minutes sometimes just to get in or out Brentwood to the highway and then another 15 - 20 minutes looking for parking at the Stadium. The train each way is the best bet, but I would not try to get a game and a meet-up in on the same day!

Aaron21 comments on Romy, if you are correct (which I believe you are) then imperialism is a necessary element of being a superpower. Thus, you cannot separate the two. Remember to consider every country I did not single out as contributing nothing in this world before you guess what I consider to be things that better this world. Can anyone tell me what Pow Wow (American) is talking about? I simply do not understand what his arguments are to support his original statement. **This is not a personal attack so please do not notify the moderators**

Aaron21 comments on Well, Japan is the definition of the differentiation in my opinion. Japan is not imperialistic (today) yet it is still a world power - much more so than India, Pakistan, North Korea, Israel, and even France and Russia in my opinion. India and France are close, but their contributions to the betterment of the world are negligible in my opinion... : ) ... Disclaimer: I am not directly attacking the French or any French people here - so please do not delete me.... : )
|
|
Aaron21 comments on Romy, your definitions of 'superpower' include many elements of imperialism; thus, from your arguments all superpowers are necessarily imperialistic. I am not familiar with Japan's nuclear capabilities or lack thereof; however, except for the imperialistic elements in your definitions of superpower, Japan fits. So, am I still wrong?
|
|
Aaron21 comments on Let's start with an easy one, Romy - in my view anyway. Japan is a superpower, and does not really fit any of the elements of imperialism (currently).

Aaron21 comments on "I implore you to pray for me and my team as we head down there." Goddamn! It is amazing to me how fucking dumb so many people who waste time writing here really are - obviously not you ray, rob, papi, man tequila... holy fuck, if it is simply that you cannot read English, please write in Spanish and say so... the dumb ass nonsense gets old...
|
|
Aaron21 comments on "I implore you to pray for me and my team as we head down there." Papi, many posters here jump at the chance to say the most controversial things or attack another poster. Most of the time they are illogical, repetitive, and blatantly stupid statements. You cannot stop or even contain these people. They have found acceptance on PBH for one reason or another - acceptance that they do not experience in the real world. I suppose a lot of people like these miscreants are online, however PBH seems to have a disproportionate share.

Aaron21 comments on El turismo sexual en Cartagena sigue en auge The first thing that would slow down a lot of activity would be to arrest AND prosecute the men preying on these children. However, the cops here cannot even enforce traffic laws, so I doubt that will happen. The overall picture is even more bleak, in my view, so I will not even begin to share my opinion unless you want to read it.

Aaron21 comments on baseball in Barranquilla, NOT like Yankee stadium Looks a lot like the games in the DR - less people though.... Mode, do you know anything about the league on the coast here (I am in Cartagena) like when the season starts, game times, etc. ... or could you point me in the right direction - I am having a lot of trouble finding info...
